THIS IS AMAZING. Thank you so, so much, this is so much more than I hoped for when I left the prompt.

I swear I think you get these characters better than the folks who wrote the show. I love how you dealt with Janis's sexuality, that you had her deal with it all. Her reluctance to allow herself to be close to either of them felt so real. And then Demetri, he's so steadfast and loyal. This line in particular was a perfect summation of him:

Where Janis's is burried under a sea of maternity clothes and toiletries, Demetri still carries his badge in his pocket.
The job always came first for him.Than there was Simon. I love that guy so much and he's perfect here. A little bit on the outside, always watching and observing, but slowly getting drawn into their little family. He's snarky and wonderful and the scene where Janis kisses him made me squee like a crazy person

Oh gosh! I'm so glad to hear that you liked it!

I'm actually relieved you requested what you did. For awhile, I've been thinking there was something wrong with me because I shipped that OT3 so hard despite all the reasons I probably shouldn't. No one else seemed to agree with me that Janis/Demetri was more canon than any of the actual ships on the show (and then you add in Simon, who is shippable with a rock and it's undeniable).

But yeah I've wanted to write them but I've just been so wrapped up in Lost fics. Your prompt was the perfect jump start for my muse. So really, thank you, for requesting such an awesome prompt. I'm just happy you liked it and that the characters felt real to you.

*sigh* This was lovely. I'd been needing some FlashForward lately, and this was just the thing I was looking for. What I loved about the finale was also the thing that I hated most: the ginormous cliffhanger that left so much to the imagination. It was beautiful, but ultimately saddening. But your fic managed to fill that void a little bit for me, so thank you.

This fic was elegant and subtle and I completely agree with what the person above said about you having these characters down a whole lot better than the writers. I feel like I've learned so much about them after reading this.
