There's nothing about this fic that isn't absolutely perfect. You give Rachel so much life, her character feels so vivid and real. I love her strength here and her straightforwardness. The way she keeps seeing Jacob, but Juliet never notices gave me chills.
And the fact that he falls in love with her is beautiful and twisted and amazing. I love the idea that he visited her over the years and the scene where he touches her was incredibly moving. Everything about this story is so atmospheric and filled with this sense of longing. You made me feel for Jacob and that's no easy task.
Also this is such a spot-on, heartbreaking Juliet characterization:
Juliet leaves in a flurry of 'I can't do this' and 'I'll talk to you tomorrow' and Rachel tries to stall her, but Juliet does what she's been doing since she was nine and runs.
Oh, Juliet. That's totally how I imagine that went down. And then the end:
She looks beautiful. The light has finally returned to her eyes, though he's not sure it was ever really gone, ( ... )

This part is so cool!
When she is fifteen, he's there for Juliet. He walks towards them, passes between them, brushing Juliet's arm.
And this part is right out of my daydreams - well technically your imagination but also my daydreams (don't tell anyone). ;)
He brushes his lips over the top of her head. The touch sends a shiver down her spine, makes her take a deep breath in. It covers her entire body in warmth and light. She cannot describe it properly.
