iPods suck

Okay, tell me this is not the most moronic thing of all time. While I can transfer songs from my computer to my iPod, I cannot transfer them back onto the computer. What. The. Fuck?!

Apparently there are third party softwares that do this function. But I'm pretty pissed off. I think I may just return this iPod. I probably can't do that though.

The reason Apple doesn't allow this is because they need to placate all the RIAA in order to keep the iTunes Music Store stocked. The recording industry doesn't want it to be any easier to share MP3s with your friends, and the iPod would be a *great* way to do just that.

Still, the workaround is pretty trivial. iPodRip (shareware) is available here:
