Well...that mission didn't go exactly as planned, but it could have been worse. At least it was accomplished, even though it wasn't our doing ( Read more... )

As long as we complete the mission, there's no problem, right?

It's still good to know exactly what happened. If there are any other factions targeting the EDF, we need to know about them so we can deal with them accordingly.

I was going to chase that guy down, but the captain wouldn't let me!

That's because you'd have gotten yourself lost!

I'm the only one who can pilot Unit 01. Why else would I be here? I didn't agree to your stupid rules, so why should I have to follow them? Just leave it alone.

That's like saying the soldiers in wars past didn't need to follow rules and regulations because they were drafted. Soldiers need to work as teams, and rules are made to that end.

I'm curious about the new Gundam as well. It makes me wonder how many more are out there, and what their goals are.

As for the arguing, I think there was an incident before the mission that caused them to not like each other. Though it's not an excuse for them to be acting like children fighting on the playground.

What bothers me the most is that we have all these factions in the first place. The DC, OZ, Zeon... Why are we fighting each other now, of all times? Isn't anyone concerned about the aliens?

You're right, it is no excuse. If they have a problem with each other, they should settle it outside of missions. I guess I don't need to tell you that, though.

Unfortunately there are always those who want to be in power, and they usually don't care about anything but themselves until there's a threat against them. So unless the aliens make a direct attempt against them personally, I don't think those groups will do anything about the aliens anytime soon.

You know, a little fighting with one another is pretty normal, manly soldier-bonding. Sometimes you just need to have a fist fight and get it out of your system or something.

You think so? I've never seen any of that, though I admit that I never spent any time as a common soldier. I graduated from a naval academy and have been a bridge officer on various battleships ever since.

Even if that is the case, do you really think the timing was no problem? We were in the middle of a mission. There's plenty of time to do that when we're not in combat.

Although it's annoying, they make it look like it's friendly banter and its natural for them.

A little fighting is fine. I went to officer's training school too, sir, and I assure you, it happens there. Just a bit less.

The timing was a bit annoying, yeah.
