Welcome to my world, years of student loan debt have hampered my ability to be as generous as I'd like and people really do drift sometimes if you can't keep up. It's weird and causes me a lot of reflection, especially as a Christian, like..."Do we really live in a world where money = caring? That's...not good."
You should plug the books here, which ones did you read for? Keep linking us to your podcasts too, I don't mean to forget, but so many things happen so quickly!
It was awesome until that douchey shirt, which I didn't mind anywhere as much as the anti-feminist baloney backlash to his apology (which I accept w/o a problem).

I've been spending less and less on gifts, actually, and I feel a lot better about it sometimes because it forces me to flex my creative muscles when it comes to gifts. Like this year, for Zack's mother, I bought a reproduction of the Fiddler on the Roof broadway poster, and I'm getting all of the cast of the local production to sign it since she was an extra & keeps talking about how much fun she had. We even got a frame for it, too. I can't wait til she opens it!
