Is a memoir a memory or is a memoir an autobiography?
I'll write both.

Hm. Depends on what you mean by "memory." An autobio would imply birth-perhaps your last breaths in your comfy Venice bed with your weeping wife near you and your doting son writing the words you force out between hacking up a lung etc. A memory would probably center on how you killed 52 Orientals in some war and made it with a Chinese prostitute.
