i want to know what will ensure my aloe plant large and healthy, any suggestions of anything helpful? it's fairly big now, i'm just curious as to what will make it even bigger, faster.

I'd post to succulents to ask. There's a guy there who specializes in Aloes.

Oh, and while Aloes want well-drained soil, they respond to water and fertilizer like anything else. Also, someone told me (but I haven't double-checked why) to avoid perlite in your planting mix if you are planting Aloes.

So I would say-
full sun
enough dirt to support the growth
regular water (but let soil dry between)
occasional dilute fertilizer
