Out of the ashes, she arises again!!!!!

Oh my god, I just went in to go to bed, and decided to say good bye to my tarantula Arrana again.

As I was saying good bye, her back split open, and she began to shed her old exo-skeleton! She is still alive, just had trouble starting her molting!!!!!!

I am so happy and relieved, nature is a very beautiful thing...

I thought that I would save the exo-skeleton for you if you wanted it, seeing as she is kinda your baby too.

she's doing great, her new skeleton should start hardening soon, I do think she might need to regrom a rear leg though, I have yet to see it all. May be that she has just not unfolded it all the way yet.

omg that the scarriest thing iv ever heard! its like out of a sci fi movie- i didnt know they really did that. i probubly would have screamed and ran away if i saw that happening! good think you knew what was happening because that would be very tramatizing if you didnt.

I did, and did not know. I had thought she had died, and only left her in the cage just in case she was molting. About 95 percent of the time a spider will turn over on their back to molt, she didn't that was what freeked me out completely.
