i am so excited that the country came out in historical amounts to elect Obama by such a huge margin. it really is incredible, and even though 8 passing was horrible, i still am so excited. berkeley was such an amazing place to be last night. i just wish that this week wasn't the school week from hell, because it's really interfering with my joy. i

i think the whole prop 8 thing is definitely a slap in the face. definitely reminiscent of the whole marijuana being legalized thing and then not. i'm not surprise, just disappointed. particularly because i don't understand how a nation overwhelmingly elects a black president who endorses gay rights and yet we're anti gay? i think that just made my brain stop.

Arizona, Florida, and California banned gay marriage. It's fucking ridiculous how this could happen in 2008. Agh.

prop. 8 is the equivalent to making multi-racial marriages illegal. california voters took away their rights.

And actually it was Arizona AND Florida who also had similar measures on their ballots, and yes, they all passed.
