Oh, I am sorry to hear all this. I don't like my Christ to be sad. I must back you up 100% on the no anti-depressants thing. When I went through a clinical depression my doctor and mother begged me to go on something but I refused. I'm with you on that I think (actually, I know) they lead to an addiction, and the only way to get off is to sink deeper into depression and possibly commit suicide. Sometimes one of the best things to do is to get sunshine and exercise. Sunshine naturally improves your mood (even on an overcast day the effect is as potent), and exercise causes your mind to release serotonin, the hormone that is responsible for your happiness (or lack thereof). So maybe try talking a brisk walk for fifteen minutes every day. And it's good to find things to keep you occupied. I'd recommend surrounding yourself with people who you feel good around, and taking time out everyday to do just one thing that you really, really like doing. Or find something you like, and develop a deeper appreciation for it
