Special for foolsgoldxo : http://www.bodyglide.com/#/products/anti-chafe

It's totally a miracle product, in my opinion.  It's what the kid in Juno was rubbing on the inside of his thighs before he went running.  If I don't use it, I end up with angry, blistery chafing in weird places ( Read more... )

Yeah, I started that when I ran a long run in new shoes and ended up with terrible blisters. I used it over the blisters a couple of days later and the blisters didn't get any worse. I've used it prophylactically on my feet ever since and have never had another blister.

I never really get blisters on my feet. ::furiously knocking wood:: which is incredible because I HAAAAATE with the fire of a thousand suns thick socks. I wear the thinnest I can find. I might try it with dress shoes though :)

Oh, I have terrible baby feet. EVERY new pair of shoes I get gives me blisters. Always. My damn house slippers gave me a blister! So, yeah, I slather the bejesus out of my feet. :-)

I have a friend whose last name is Glidewell, which we think would be an excellent name for lube.

I've always thought Body Glide sounded like lube -- and was not alone in that thought among folks in my old running group.

I like the idea of using as an anti-chafe measure, and may have to go out and get some before the weather warms up. No matter what I weigh, my inner thighs always rub and I've finally started to accept that that's just the way I'm built, but it makes it a pain to wear dresses on hot days.

Yeah, my sister had pretty much stopped wearing dresses for that reason. If she walks even a short distance, she ends up chafed. She tried out the Body Glide & walked several miles & was amazed at the lack of chafing.

I agree that it's about build and not size.

In Canada, at least, they sell Body Glide right beside the condoms and lube.

With my new voluptuous thighs, I am definitely going to need some for the summer.

Hm. Here, you can only really find Body Glide in specialty running shops or online. Weird that they'd sell it near the lube. I guess that explains why I'd find it dirty-sounding, though!
