Your colours are always so wonderful and your art looks much more like original art than fanart :-)) What kind of paint did you use? Or did you mean the program "Painter"?

Hi again! socialblunder4u October 30 2007, 10:25:31 UTC
I am loath to say, alas, I have an extremely out dated computer... hence, I do not own PS, Tablet, or even Photo editor, for that matter! So I kinda have to rely on my Photography skills(hence the aweful lighting) and dear old brush, palette et al, when it comes to these things, that's why I tend to take an eternity! And for some reason I decided to make this thing huge, so it took forever... but love doing it!

... Oh, And I use plain old water colours (Note: poster white does not mix with tube paints, so still need to buy new paints, LOL)... got carried away in the previous comment and forgot to answer :)

Oh, watercolours are still my favourites, even if I do work with a tablet and programs on the computer. But it's so much more satisfying to hold a "real" pic in hands instead of having it on the screen or as a dull print :-)
You're doing very well with the posting, I'm surprised photos of pics can come so nice!

I like this very much. The hands are very nice, especially the ones near the bottom of the painting. It sort of reminds me of Egon Schiele.

*runs off to google search Egon Schiele*... Oh, I love Egon... dunno why, just do... er.. does it remind you of him or his work? LOL...

I love doing my hand that way... you know, with the touching, but not quite touching bit? Its actually high time I got out of it... :)

Thank you!

The hands remind of some hands I have seen in some Egon Schiele's paintings. The shape and the gesture. I have a book of some of his paintings and he does these marvelous paintings of people locked in embrace. A little provocative for some, but his style is very interesting. Unfortunately, I have only seen his stuff in books. I would love to see an original painting some day.

Oh yeah, I gave myself a quick history of Art lesson after your comment over there and realized that I'm just sooo totally clueless when it comes to the modern stuff. All I own are my Uncle's old stuff, like "from Giotto to Cezanne" (which happens to be staring at me right now), some tribal and ancient art stuff et al... these are cool and all, but I really need to get my self updated.

... rambling, sorry. So, in sum: His work can be a bit, well, wanton (?)... this is what my gran thought; couldn't help it, she was hovering while I googled him.. But, I still love his work, loves it lots, obviously.

Thanks. :)

Great art! But... they seem kind of older... eh, I can mentally make it a Numengrad "visit". *SNERK*

"Sir Dumbledore, vat are you doing?"

"I am... ah... attempting to make Grindelwald come - to realize the errors of his ways! Yes!"

"...Yes, sir." (to other guards) "I'm resigning from this job. I know it's impossible that they're doing what I think they're doing, but it's giving me... um... nightmares! Yes, nightmares, that's it!"

"...Albus, you have the stupidest excuses. It's fortunate that the guards are just as stupid. Now, let's get back to what we were -Unh- doing..."

XD

LOL! Thanks for that! You're story's better than mine, definitely! And yeah, for some reason, I just can't imagine a young Dumbles... it's just one of those things... :P

Prettiful! Original! I totally agree with what another commenter said about how original your work was compared to other fanart. This is gorgeous and very unique, interesting style. It has this feel of 'Old World' art, the fancy stuff you see in museums or an art book.

Seriously you should see how much it would sell or if a museum would have it. Just wow. One of the best fanarts I've seen in ages.

*gushes* *blushes* and *everything in between*...

Thank you! Oh gosh, it's not that good! *big grin* *lovin' you*

Can people sell fan art? LOL, Didn't know that... I mean, I'm seriously new to all of this :D. OH, though I don't think it'd sell, you know, plagiarism and all that jazz... the characters I mean... But glad you like it!

:)))
