I'm currently doing some research on Militant Tendency for a presentation and have just watched an old BBC News report on Neil Kinnock's speech to the Labour Party Conference in 1985. What a speech! They certainly don't do them like that anymore! I wasn't even born when that speech was made(but I wasn't far away as I was born in late October

We just don't have good orators in politics any more (at least not in the UK). Every time I hear David Cameron and hear media pundits talk about his qualities as a speaker, I think "what?" Are they hearing the same braying public schoolboy that I'm hearing?
