I see no reason to pay any respect simply because of something like that. I'll be there in a couple years, but it won't make me any different.

That's how things work, of course, you should always pay respect to those in a higher position.
Of course, that doesn't mean you'll deserve such respect by simply doing nothing, which is why I hope you're going to work hard in order to be a good role model for your underclassmen, Cole.

Oh, I don't know about that. Some girl named Natsuki thinks she can make fun of me just because I'm short.

Not that I see much point in giving respect to those who didn't earn it.
