concerts are all about having fun. you will most likely see a zillion people sporting the shirts, but it is not a requirement, nor is it lame. it just shows your appreciation for da music.
But I think it depends on why you wear it. If you just wear it for no real reason, then it's kinda lame. But if you are going to meet the band or something, and want to get signatures on your shirt, I don't think it's lame. I've done that.
Wearing a band's shirt to their concert is overkill. Everyone already knows you like the band, they like them too, that is why you both are there. You are not a better fan than anyone else by wearing their shirt.
You can, however, wear the shirts of other, appropriate bands. For instance, you could wear a radiohead shirt to a beck concert, but not a good charlotte shirt.
