It is unfortunate that sociology and the other humanities and social sciences do not receive quite as much support in educational monies as the hard sciences, though I suspect that that has more to do with the greater number of people interested in those topics.

I suspect that's largely because areas such as virology, organic chemistry, and earth science have largescale commercial applications--both government and privately funded.

It is a shame. Ridiculous.

You should really know better. But, it is old, and I suspect it might have needed replacing anyway. There's a maintenance budget, at any rate. Where is Gai? I understand that he and Lee were running a tournament circuit, but this is rather ridiculous. We might as well be masters of the dojo.
