Season's Greetings to everyone! I haven't had time to go online much at all for the last several months, but I'm determined to catch up at least a little bit today. I love looking at the photos people have posted of their Christmas decorations, and if I can find my camera I'll try to put up some pictures of our decorations as well ( Read more... )

SOCKYYYYYYYYYYYYY! I've been stalking you, I admit it! I've been wondering how you're doing and damn, I wish that Texas were closer because what I wouldn't give to make you a huge fattening dessert and scooch my kitchen chair over and talk to you about fic and animals and kids and life and EVERYTHING without them pesky interwebs getting in the way. I miss you and love you like pancakes :)

KAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT! I LURVE YOU, TOO! Srsly, we must exchange phone numbers; I'll e-mail you a couple. (Also, by "dog-pile" I mean jumping on top of you, NOT offering you a pile of dog doo.)

Oh, phones are good, I like phones! And no worries on the dog-doo - I see a LOT of doo over here. Daily! Bottom-Wipers R Us!

There is another Auld Lang Syne version that reminds me a lot of that. It's by The Cast on the album Winnowing. It was on the first Sex and the City movie but don't let that steer you away.

May 2012 be a wonderful year for us all and may the change of cycles on December 21 be a huge non-event.

Hee! I predict that what the doomsday-seekers think is an end-of-the-world date on that Aztec calendar will turn out to have simply been a place-your-ad-here box:

"QUATZEQUATEL SAVINGS & LOAN. No interest until December 21, 2012! Ask about our step pyramid plan."

And by "Aztec" I of course meant "Mayan."

My theory on the Mayan calendar is that it's the ancients' version of Y2K non-compliance ;) They figured SOMEBODY in 2000+ years would fix the dang thing eventually.
