today in work i was asked the following question.

if a part lasts for 30,000 hours and is used for 3000-4000 hours a year how long will it last.

i said about 10 years.

the guy teaching the class was impressed i could do that calculation in my head since he once had someone use a calculator to find out how long it would last...

This sounds like how I went about programming and doing the Rubik's cube. I guess everyone does things like that sometimes.
