On the day I spoke to one of the Aduki women and she said she "hoped" that it would become an annual thing - but now they've said it'll definitely be back next year!
#1 was a baked cheesecake. #2 was the choc / peanut butter cupcakes. #3 was a vanilla slice with passionfruit icing.
The author of the cookbook (it was actually a book launch as well) is a Sydneysider, she teaches vegan cooking at the Sydney Community College, I think. I wonder if she'll get inspired to start something up in Sydney? I don't see why it would be any harder than in Melbourne...
Haha NO, I WOULD HAVE DIED OF SUGAR! I just grabbed a paper plate and the first four or so things that appealed to me.
The thing covered in strawberries was the #1 prize winner, a baked cheesecake. I would have like to try that one, but that and the vanilla slice were down the other end, and I didn't want to battle the crowd too much.

But what a wonderful way to die!!
ahh, I sure can pick 'em. Though I don't know that I'd like it. They were probably glazed and that's just gross. But probably still tasty.
