and .. did you ever bother to read any john grisham? i don't really have an opinion there, because after reading like five of his books when i was high school, i gave up because much of it (except maybe 'the chamber' and 'the rainmaker' which influenced me a lot, not in particular .. but just in general, you see. there's still bits of them in my heart somewhere) was always the same same same .. but .. your conclusion there sounds lots like what i've learned from those books. and i still wanted to become a lawyer. for ten years, this was all i ever wanted. and then i grew older .. and ended up like this .. with no aims no more and all confused. so stupid, if you think about it. i shall figure myself out real quick. it's not like you live forever.

i used to have one, too. earlier in my life. it's all gone now. since .. 'the bourne identity' i believe. i liked his earlier stuff, 'good will hunting', 'dogma', 'chasing amy' (there is a bit of matt in it, i swear) and well, 'the rainmaker'. that's how i learned about john grisham in the first place, through matt and this this film, you know. that's so funny, that you say you love it, because .. people've always called me naive and silly for liking it so much.
