Huh, so it looks like I've never done a relationship or first impressions Meme.  Better fix that right now, what with the 1006 comments.

You all know the drill-You post the names of your characters, I post Cortana's thoughts on them.  They may be extensive, because she has nothing but time to think.

Thoughts on Kyle Katarn?

Cortana thinks Kyle is a lot like some people she knows back home, mostly NCOs with a healthy dose of humor. She thinks it may be a coping mechanism, but otherwise likes him as-is. She's not to clear on what he does for a living outside of camp, but she figures anyone who carries that much firepower with them at once (lol game mechanics) is doing something right. If he ever asks, she's got a few plans for obstacle courses that would probably even give him a work-out. Of course, he'd have to ask.

Also, she's been sticking her little hacker fingers in wherever possible on his data, both depriving him of privacy and protecting it. It's now very well encrypted for the most part-but she can still get in wherever and whenever she wants. She's a god-mod that way.

Ooh, clearly I should work on an excuse to ask her for this obstacle course. It is sadly canon that he only likes obstacle courses when it's his students that are doing them, but surely there is a way!

He actually totally approves of this, as his partner isn't here to do it herself. XD He's a terrible stereotypical male in that way.

On Mikage?

Mikage is one of the people who helped Cortana parse herself back together-he gets major kudos for that, and she'd do the same for him in an instant. She also likes him anyways, and figures that even if they hadn't met when she arrived, she would have found a kindred spirit in him anyways. She's not taken time to really feel out how he sees the world and his opinions about it, mostly because she's just jumped to conclusions about what she thinks his opinions about it should be. :P

She's also prone to bragging and showing off around him. That isn't normally part of her behavior, but she feels that since he first saw her when she was broken he should see her when she's whole. Her capability is a major part of her self-image, and she's trying to make sure he sees the right 'Cortana'. Now that they're more familiar, she probably won't be making many more boasts about what she can do.
