He double checks that the Impala’s keys are still on the table when he crawls out of his cocoon, rifles through Dean’s bag and swallows down another couple pills.
He slowly stretches his neck, rolls his stiff shoulders, thumbs the curtain to the side and peers around the parking lot. Dean is nowhere in his sight.

Oh, boys. Sam's determination. Dean's denial. Both fighting for, and against each other. They know each other so well. Which buttons to push, which to avoid. Trying to find some neutral ground in this horrible situation.
Loved Dean taking care of Sam. Despite his frustrations with Sam, he's always gonna take care of him.
I always love your brother moments and characterizations. It's never a doubt that they have issues, but the love always shines thru.

I love this very much. Love the way Sam tried to tell Dean that just like Dean, he couldn't live without his brother either. Which I think Dean still didn't quite get.
