I read this story awhile ago on ffnet, as well as all your other stories, and love it. In Reverse was one of the first fanfics I ever read, and to this day I think I measure all fanfic by that story - it is truly amazing and I blame you for my supernatural fanfic obsession. I also loved Rainwalk. Ok, you are probably sick of hearing this, but is Spiral still around or have you abandoned it? It's a great story.

Thanks for writing!

Oh thank you! You're too kind. And trust me, there are some pretty amazing fics out there that leave In Reverse in the dust and make much better measuring sticks.

And, no, Spiral is not abandoned. I just have a really hard time multitasking and when life picks up, fanfic tends to be the first thing I put on the back burner. It's very close to being finished, very close, and has been for a while, which almost makes it worse, but I'm hoping to have the thing posted complete semi-soon. How's that for vague and non-committal? lol

Oh you're so right - this really does fit with season 4 too! Just think, if Sam had ended things then, he wouldn't have been killed, Dean wouldn't have sold his soul, gone to Hell and broken the first Seal, and Sam wouldn't have released Lucifer and started the Apocalypse. Twenty twenty hindsight is a remarkable thing! But then you're also right that Sam would never have been able to live with having killed his dad - and not just because he wouldn't be able to look Dean in the eye any more, but also because I don't think he'd be able to look himself in the eye either. And would Dean have forgiven him? Or would the two of them have wound up like they did in WIAWSNB - barely talking to one another?

Oooh such fertile AU ground! I think you may have given me a plot bunny!

Very interesting! And would the other demons have tried a different way to get things rolling? Hmmmm....

ok I admit I read this on ff.net, along with In Reverse, but I was just a lurker there (still am) and I don't have an account there so I couldn't comment - but I hope I can make up for that here, now. Because of awesome fic like yours, I got an account here at lj so I could praise all of you accordingly.

I liked this, I liked how Sam's thoughts mirrored Dean's feelings. Two peas in a pod, those boys. Great job!!

Thank you! Glad to have your comments. And pleased you enjoyed this one. Welcome. And, trust me, I know all about being a lurker, er actually, not even that since I never read anything, lol.

P.S. Most accounts over at ff.net actually accept open reviews so (for the most part) you don't have to have an account to comment on stories. Some authors, faced with stalkers or what have you, set their comment preference to "signed reviews only" which means you do have to have an account to comment. In that respect, it's no different than LJ land really, except, creating an account over there is more basic and a lot more simple (to me, lol).

Interesting - thanks for the tidbit. I guess I always picked the authors that wanted me to have an account.

Anyway, keep up the great work!
