To anyone who gets their Wes mail automatically forwarded to their gmail account, how did you set it up to do that?

go to "email forwarding" under "tools and links" in your eportfolio.

if you want to get all your mail at gmail but reply to it so it looks like it's coming from your wes address, go to "settings" then "accounts" in gmail. also in that section is info about how to get mail from other accounts, but you don't need to bother with that, just set up forwarding from your eportfolio and you should be all set.

hey katie,
so i just set it up, and it seems to be working fine, but i was just wondering: is there any way to get the e-mails that are currently in your wesleyan inbox over to gmail? you know, the ones that you received and saved before you had gmail. or are they just stuck in the wes inbox forever?
thanks for all your help

hmm, so i know i did that when i first set up mail forwarding, but i don't exactly remember how. actually, i think you do what i originally told you not do to: in gmail, go to settings, then accounts, then "get mail from other accounts." put in your wes address and wes password and then -- i think -- it'll retrieve your wes mail. that process takes a while though. oh, and i think that before you do all that you have to go to "forwarding and POP/IMAP" under settings in gmail and make sure that POP is enabled.

if that doesn't work...sorry? hope you figure it out!
