Fanfic - Counting Stars: Clarity [Torchwood: Ianto]

So I was re-reading Counting Stars just to refresh my memory on character interactions, and - you know what, I think my writing's evolved. At any rate, I can see some things I don't like in that behemoth - a few poorly-handled POV changes, in particular. Oh well, lessons learned will be applied in future writing. I know Dafydd was portrayed quite unsympathetically in Counting Stars, which is part of the reason why I wanted to write this - I had all this backstory about why he is the way he is, and none of it fit in CS. Just happy it's worked for you and that you liked it. Thanks for reviewing! =D

Oh glad to hear it! I think it's difficult isn't it how people can end up getting bitter and nasty, and often with a good reason. Of course I don't think it means we should accept their behaviour, but it's nice in fiction that you can at least explain it.

I've been trying for the last six months to remember Counting Stars, so I could re-add it to my favourites list, and was on the verge of giving up, because all I could remember was the "Awesome formatting for TYTNW" and "really cool empathic/psychic blobby alien thing."

When I saw this, I went right back to the start and read it all the way from the beginning and this was just a perfect companion piece for the dynamic you created between Ianto and his family - especially Dafydd. Wonderful. :)
