The movie is "Kick-ass." It has garnered some attention from critics who either call the movie "morally reprehensible" (Roger Ebert) or an all around groovy thrill-ride. I will undoubtedly see this movie. I will likely tear it a new asshole, critically speaking, and bore (read "infuriate") any and all of my poor movie-watching companions. Hell

Nic Cage is a good actor (or at least an actor capable of good performances) who takes almost everything that comes his way, and I have a hard time blaming him for that. It's a lot easier for me to ignore his shitty films than it is for him to ignore millions of dollars for fucking around on camera with wack hair.

Most of the time he annoys the shit out of me, but there are exceptions like Adaptation and Kick Ass where his style works for the character. Here's a small spoiler: every time you see him in his costume he talks like Adam West. It's amazing.
