So There's this one scene in an episode of Desperate Housewives that says something derogatory about medical schools in the PI.
Here's my rundown on it. The scene is meant to be comedic through over reaction. Yeah I feel offended because it's saying that people who were trained in the medical profession in PI aren't fit to diagnose something like menopause. On the other hand I tell myself, "Wahh wahhh suck it up you whiney bastard. Everyone gets their turn." The show is meant to push the limits of media. The FCC lets things with racy undertones to be broadcast on TV no matter how many people it offends, but once a nipple (you know, that thing that EVERYONE has) gets put on TV they're all up on that.
Bad joke. I tried to laugh at it, couldn't do it. "Before we go any further can I just check those diplomas cuz I would like to make sure they're not from... some med school.. in the Philippines." Better line would be, "I would like to make sure they're not from a cereal box." I'm all for the racy jokes... when they're good.
