Even though he hasn't been able to eat in a week, my grandfather personally called all of the children today to let them know he is stopping all chemotherapy and radiation treatments.. he has about 3 weeks..

i think your grandfather is being courageous. i deal with moffitt cancer patients all the time, and i know how fearful most of them are...it seems to me that isnt scared anymore, he's just facing everything. i think its admirable. im sorry for you and you family.

i hope these 3 weeks are the best of his life, and i hope that he isnt in much pain.

who's side of the family mom or dad?

I agree with you.. I believe he has already come to terms with it. He has lived longer than he ever thought he would, and is satisfied with his life. I'm glad it happened this way, that at least we know and he knows and everyone is able to make the best of this short time.. though I am worried about my grandmother and the rest of my family(mom's). I also hope he doesn't suffer much, as he has stopped all his other medications and still cannot eat.
