They do, items made through alchemy can have various effects depending on the items used during the synth process.

Oh I don't need anything, but if you ever find items you don't think you could use; I could probably make stuff from it. So, I wouldn't mind it if you gave them to me. But, I just made these to keep myself busy so... I don't need anything if you want one.
