Read "The Tale of Desperaux" or "The Journey of Edward Tulane" to Violet. Both are very good and uplifting, though Edward Tulane has a very different feel to its uplift. Kind of bittersweet?

Go back and read Anne of Green Gables for fun if you haven't already. I just read it to Allie and it was fun to read again.

Cordelia's Honor by Louis McMaster-Bujold and start the Miles Vorkosigan series that I promise you will enjoy. And yes, I know every teenager in the world has read the Twilight series and its oh so pop-culture right now - but if you haven't read them they are fun and lusty and pretty easy reads.

What kind of books do you usually like to read?

The last few completions for me have been:

The Twilight Saga

Beyond the Sky and the Earth

The Gum Thief

Watchmen
