I find it really difficult to pray publicly. I'm fine one to one with God, but when having to spontaneously pray in public and say something substantial I go blank usually :/

thats why you write it down first so that its not quite so spontaneous... hehe!

heh, so that's how they do it!

but nah, I don't mean just that - even spontaneous prayer in say a bible study group when I'm asked to pray on the spot, my mind goes blank and I sound very simplistic I think.

doesnt matter, its just you talking to God, and He doesn't want you to be all fancy shmancy with big words. I find myself trying to think about what im gonna pray instead of listening to others prayers, which is so silly! But there it is!
