So what's the mop and toilet stuff?

Erg, ugsome about the po-faced audience. That's when you need some good laughers planted in the audience. During uni I was in several plays, and there was one professor who always DIED laughing very loudly at every joke, even when things weren't that funny. We were always thrilled when he was in the audience because his laughter was so infectious. Or maybe people were just laughing at HIM. Anyway, those nights seemed to be the best audiences.

Yes, we had one of those last night (not sure if she was a plant): she laughed hysterically at everything even remotely funny. Well... in Act 1 when the students are getting Benoit (the landlord) to boast about how good he is with women, Colline comes up behind him and sticks a mop between his legs at a suggestive angle. It is quite funny though I'd be glad not to be able to see the audience's faces. The toilet humour comes in Act 4 when the boys are discussing the unfortunate results of eating food that's past its sell-by date. For me that one got a bit less funny with every repetition...

Oh, and I'm sorry to hear about your audition troubles. Rotten! Nice that they'll be giving you feedback though, and that they called you so soon after.
