I wish someone would have told me last year that sending out a barely-finished, terrible, terrible draft of a novel to 80 literary agents was a sure-fire way of fucking myself over.

On one hand, I'm glad that Florida is taking a hurricane threat to heart and not blowing it off just because we haven't had a real one in two years.

So the interior lights on my '94 Ford Taurus refuse to turn off.
Solution: Pull the fuse, which also knocked out my radio.
I hate my car and I think I need a new one.

For some unknown reason, my car's interior lights refused to turn off today. With my stepfather and wife's help, we ended up ripping out the fuse because what the hell else could we do? Why does this only happen on 12-hour days?
