That's funny, 30 years ago we were going through a period of drastic global cooling (or so those who needed their grants funded claimed) ... http://www.globalclimate.org/Newsweek.htm

Keeping the environment minimally polluted is one thing. Trying to provoke a panic based on bad data is another.

lol... yup... all this hubbub about global warming is just scientists that want funding from NOAA and NSF and maybe a few lucky NIH grants. That article seemed to be more about global climate change than drastic cooling. They noted warming near the equator and cooling in the northern hemsphere. Also they were only mentioned models using historical data for their time series forcasts dating back like 100 years and forcasting only on the order of 10's of years into the future. A forcasting cooling on that time scale is possible. They even mention in the article about how new all this global forcasting is... I mean, come on Rob, you don't think we've made any progress in our ability to model and forecast since 1975? you don't think the all of the new data from ice cores etc, 14C analysis and the like have added anything to our modeling capabilities... oh yeah, and computers... Anyway. Granted, modeling isn't just that. Modeling. However, every model out there predicts warming ( ... )
