Thank you to bradcpu for shots of static. *g* Also, a big thank you to my friendslist for all the help in identifying scenes. All those random posts of "What episode did X happen?"...this video was why. Finally, thanks to giandujakiss for the post-submission beta. I will definitely be kidnapping you again when I finish the longer version. Oh, and a big thank you to halcyon_shift for cluing me in on that fact that VirtualDub can crop footage. Yay!
Notes: This video was a battleground for myself & Movie Maker. Oh, it did not want to make this. No, siree. I had to fight it every step of the way. There was blood and tears and pleading and violence. I had to perform CPR on it more than once.
The video concept was a combination of a sort of free association (the way that character moved there reminds me of this other character here), and also the fast pulsing lights of a rave or club. I don't know if it works, but it certainly was fun to make.
It was originally meant to be longer. More than a minute longer, actually. Unfortunately, due to procrastination & being overly ambitious, I could tell I was never going to make the CV deadline. So, I decided to edit down my original plan & make a short version. In the meantime, I meant to keep working on the longer version, so that I'd have both ready to post by the time VividCon came around. Somehow that never happened. What can I say, I'm easily distracted. I still want to make the original idea, because there are several sequences I never even touched on. Who knows when that will get finished, though. If nothing else, this taught me that putting aside a project & taking a break from it is the kiss of death. Someday I swear I'll finish my original idea.
