The biologic imperative, yes. Here we are on a planet that is groaning under the weight of humanity. Life in general is getting plowed under our army-ant-like prodigiousness. Heterosexuality could well save us from a biological point of view. But I don't even like to go there as it's the trap of another false dichotomy: assigning one "side" value over the other.
*sigh* It's frustrating when people manipulate systems to validate their biases.
