summary: papa and mami have a long awaited, proper reunion. something along the lines of "omfg you're a mermaid!" and "omfg you're a human?!". rejoice.
The soft ripples of singing wafted through the air, soon claiming the familiarity that he had heard beforehand from the magical book he managed to use to make contact with others. He had grown slightly unsettled about the city, and finding no horses only helped him grow more irritated about his situation.
Banished from his kingdom and shunned by his family, only to return if he were dead.
What a great life, Yuu Kanda.
But that didn't deter him from exploiting the opportunity to gather himself and explore this unknown city. After all, maybe he would find a clue on how to find the princess he could not keep out of his mind. If only he found her, none of what was happening would matter to him. Except that the sound of impatient splashing water tore him away from his reverie, as he reached out to stare cautiously at the lake spreading before him.
