So, I tried strawberries with Nutella. Both the strawberries and the Nutella were delicious (of course) but I found that water-based strawberries and oil-based Nutella just didn't mix well. Herm....
Oh. Was the Nutella too cold? Maybe slightly nuked and the strawberries dipped in it? ::ponders:: I MIGHT have to sacrifice myself for science and try my own suggestion...
It might have been that the strawberries were too cold, since I kept them in the refrigerator. Yesterday, though, I tried Fuji apple slices with Nutella. That was pretty good.
Slice the strawberries and sprinkle with just a tiny bit of sugar. Place in the center of a nice fresh flour tortilla. Fold the tortilla around the strawberries burrito style. Heat butter in skillet. Place burrito with the flappy parts down into the skill. Over slow heat brown tortilla. Flip buritto and brown the other side. Place burrito on a plate, top with Nutella microwaved until pourable.
The real issue I had was that the two wouldn't mix well in my mouth. I tasted either the strawberries or the Nutella, not a mix of both, particularly. But it's possible the problem was simply that the strawberries were too cold (straight from the fridge.)
