I'm a little irked at the Ed solo prices, too. Today I noticed in the "goods" section on pj.com that they have leftovers of the t-shirts from the west coast tour...for $30! The PJ shirts are like, $16-18. Grrrrrr! I get quite uncomfortable when Eddie starts pulling more attention or money, because I'm very much of the belief that the band as a whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

i saw those $30 shirts today.. in the "specials" sections of Good. WTF? thirty bucks is not on special.

i too believe that Eddie is not Pearl Jam, hence one city only ;-)

I really and truly enjoyed the show I saw of his in LA...I left it feeling a renewed respect for him as a performer, storyteller, singer, and songwriter. But I felt that the price of the tickets and the merch was a little high, and I was really ticked off that they cracked down so hard on bootlegs for his solo tour when they never did that for PJ tours.

There's just little things like that, that are adding up for me and making me feel like the band is going down a path I don't want to follow so closely anymore.

they were cracking down on tapers sharing their shows on june too. THAT i didnt get, using the words "inferior copies" to refer to stealth sources were posted of the "official" message board to people spreading links to torrent sites. i couldnt believe THAT. i paid $90 to go to the show, a free download should be included.

but, yah something definitely changed this year. the cameras thing. fine thats cool, its not a disco. but isnt the guy performing someone who used to be pro 'bootleg'? i actually wonder how much of this stuff the band knows about.

we're never going to see the "this one's on us" approach here
