the only 3 icons I made this month.I was trying to change from my old style,which consisted mainly of extraction and bright colors.I tried to be more simple and soft here.I clearly failed.

whoo I was finally back into PS and Livejournal!theiconquest howed up at this time,and at first I was a bit intimidated because I have never been in a landcomm,and haven't touched PS in so long.But I am really glad I joined anyway.The challenges and the other iconmakers provided so much inspiration for me.I have never made so many icons in a month!

I noticed I forgot my old way of iconing animanga,which happens every year after my hiatus.I also tried iconing more rl.This month was just a lot about experimenting and finding my new way of working with rl caps and animanga scans.

I placed myself into the Hero path a theiconquest,meaning I had to focus a lot on colors.To me that basically means lots of bright icons.While further experimenting with rl iconing,I discovered the amazing gradient maps,which I tried to apply on every Cara Delevingne images I had.

I also was able to participate i animan his month,which was a great experience!I had no idea what I was doing,but everything turned out pretty good imo.

more playing with gradient maps here.It doesn't seem like it,but the first icon here was made using pretty much just gradient maps!It totally made manga coloring a whole lot easier,srsly.The first guild battle a iq_fortress orced me to work with a lot of different caps,so I was forced to try many different techniques.Most of them turned out weird,but I was slowly grasping the concept of rl iconing.

rl iconing experience helped me a lot with animanga iconing.After a lot of Hero experiences a theiconquest, I was pretty confident with my coloring.Inspiration came and went,so on some icons I felt I really succeeded and turned out to be everything I envisioned it to be,while some fell short.

I finally found the way of lightning and coloring that I like for rl caps with those Teen Wolf icons.

Rushed entry just in time for the end of the year,whoo-hoo!

I have been itching to try the new textures I downloaded some time ago,and was desperate to try my hands on Game of Thrones caps.Have been recently obsessed with the movie Les Miserables too.I have never iconned something that has just come out in theatre,but I found some hq images on Google and thought I would give it a try.

I actually am quite satisfied with these.I just really love the colors ugh.The Loras icon totally exceeded my expectations of what I could actually do.It came out perfectly as I had imagined it to be!My icons have always been surprises,never turning out to be what I planned them to be in the first place.
Goodbye, 2012Wow,there have been drastic changes since January!lol Although I was on hiatus for half the year,I don't think I have ever stayed an active iconmaker for that long.All the friends and fun activities made it so hard to resist.

My animanga icons have been decently consistent with their quality,I think,and I do believe I have made some progress on improving rl iconing!

I hope I'll be able to keep making icons in 2013 and get even better :)
