I jump every time ones goes off. They startle me, I think.

Well, it's a national holiday for some people. Me included.

It's like our country's birthday. We set off fireworks as a tradition. Lotta people like havin' cookouts.

Hm. I don't see why people have to set off fireworks, though. On birthdays, people tend to light candles on birthday cakes, I've observed.
