It is my hope that everyone had an enjoyable Father's Day. However, from the sounds of it, some did not. That's a shame. A holiday that saddens people exists? That is what startled me ( Read more... )

Someone is frightened of you, Anshu?

People get frightened of me and I can't tell why. I just feel it in their aura and they think about me as 'freaky' I suppose.

I would have to say that it's certainly not the place of any student in this school to be calling another "freaky".

Pay no attention to it.

Okay. I'll just do what I normally do.

It's... not a sad holiday for everyone! When you think about it, any holiday out there could bring out those kinds of feelings in anybody. Father's Day is a day that brings attention to your father, and some folks have bad experiences with them. That doesn't mean it should stop being celebrated.

You're right. I suppose anything could make anyone react in any way. It almost makes it seem complicated. Wouldn't things be much more simple if everyone reacted in the same, uniform way? Perhaps without so much emotion. Is it not overbearing?

It might be easier as a whole, but...I don't know if I'd like to live in a world like that.

I see. That's probably what a lot of people think. They like this world as it is. Still, I wonder if there are people who wish this world was different...? I feel like there are.

Listen, I... I'm sorry. You might not remember, but that incident with the mistletoe... I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. I overreacted just a bit. I think it's more of a personal problem than having anything to do with you, and I ran off in a hurry without really assessing the whole situation. I'm really, truly sorry. Can we start over? I promise I won't be scared!

You didn't hurt my feelings.

So the reason you fear me is something personal. I understand. We can start over, but what are we redoing?

Oh! That's good!

Just... first impressions. You didn't like it that people were afraid of you, and I felt bad about running from you like that. I was afraid of you, and now I feel bad. I don't really know what got into me! I'd rather we make amends than leave our relationship strained like this. You think it's strained, right? Um! But then again, you said your feelings weren't hurt. Oh, just forget it. We don't have to start anything over! And I'm glad.

Okay. So, does that mean you're going to stop being afraid of me?

Slow steps and patience, and the hope in your heart that one day they will understand you for who you are.

Why is it so hard for people to understand others, anyways?

It is, unfortunately, usually, communications, pride and prejudice.

Hm. I suppose it's just the way things are. That means I have to try harder to get people to see me in an unbiased light.
