On February 20th, 2009, a Solrock crash-landed on Earth's surface. From that spot, the Pokémon remained unmoving for quite some time. It didn't know where it landed, but there weren't any other signs of life.

Who knows how long it took for it to pull itself from that spot, but soon after, it drifted into a cave. More Solrock and Lunatone inhabited the cavern along with Zubat and Golbat. This was Meteor Falls, the Solrock learned: a mutual understanding between itself and another Solrock. It was a name given to the celestial cave by humans due to its overabundance of spacial matter. Solrock could settle with that.

Lunar cycles went by, and the summer solstice came. Early in the next month, a young, inexperienced trainer encountered this particular Solrock; he tried to attack it, but his power was no match for the meteorite Pokémon. Solrock warded him and his Swablu off successfully, but it followed the pair until they exited for Fallarbor Town. From there, it didn't follow them, but it kept the idea of "EXIT" in its mind.

Nothing really provoked the Solrock, but some time near to the end of the month, it left Meteor Falls. Its time spent there was full of floating around and falling into the schedule of every other Solrock. Here on out, its life would be different, but it didn't know that yet.

Maybe it took a wrong turn, or maybe it fell into a dimensional rift, but Solrock never made it to the nearby town it intended to visit. It didn't know where the young boy went, but it wanted to see where he lived. Instead, it found itself emerging from a forest, and presented in front of it was a massive building. It was on the campus of Smash Academy.

It entered the school. The halls were quiet. Where was this place? Solrock hadn't the slightest clue. It continued, only to be stopped by another being: a white, levitating figure that beckoned it into an office. It obeyed, and the figure - Master Hand, it would later learn - welcomed it to Smash Academy, and proceeded to explain the school to the Pokémon. There was one problem with this: Solrock couldn't understand human speech. Luckily, with its advanced mind, it could piece together the thoughts and intentions of Master Hand, and it was quick to gain a grasp on what it was trying to tell it. 'School', a concept it didn't understand. Many of the nouns Master Hand flung its direction made no sense, but it attempted to remember them all.

After Master Hand gave it directions to a place known as a 'temporary room', the Pokémon slowly made its way to the dormitory building for students. On the way, it kept on the lookout for humans, but found none. It stopped in front of open doorways, but there was nobody there. A desolate building, where humans were sure to be? It knew there had to be someone around here somewhere. It could feel it.

Solrock arrived at the temporary room, which held beds, tables, and bookshelves. Curiously it studied everything, manipulating its surroundings with kinetic abilities before stopping short of the bookshelf. A thick, worn-out book with a red woven cover sat on a nightstand. Thanks to Solrock, the book floated off the table and sat in front of the Pokémon, who studied the front. The letters were a faded golden-red, and completely unknown to Solrock. The name tag, 'MASTER HAND', presented itself to it in its head, and Solrock realized that each letter must have a pronunciation. For a long while, it studied the letters in the front of the book, all of which introduced their method of rolling off one's tongue. Since Solrock couldn't speak, at least this helped it with understanding how people said things and what they meant when they said them.

For a long time, Solrock read the book, searching up words like 'school' and 'room' and 'dormitory' - things it heard from the hands, but couldn't understand. Reading took comprehension, and comprehension of the words was difficult for Solrock. Some of the concepts on the pages had pictures to aid it, but many of the things it saw, it didn't know. It took a lot of guessing to understand the language, but until it got a room, it spent its time studying the dictionary.

Soon after, Solrock was deemed roommate of Bob Heather Arceus: the God Pokémon. The meteor Pokémon finally received a laptop computer, and it began its first entry, introducing itself as a Solrock from Meteor Falls. It met many people, like Ho-oh, Pit, Knuckles, Rhys, Hojita, and so on. In fact, Hojita invited herself over to show it drawings of other Pokémon! Solrock hadn't seen any other Pokémon besides the ones at Meteor Falls, so this would be a new experience. It didn't take long for the two of them to be in the same room, Hojita showing off her crayon-rendered drawings of legendary Pokémon and other Pokémon alike. Solrock, too, was redrawn by Hojita, and Solrock tried to return the favor by drawing Hoji. This was the first test Solrock had to undergo, quizzing its comprehension skills. It realized that partially reading the other's mind aided in understanding them: what a relief.

Days later, and Arceus told Solrock its name without it even occurring to the Solrock: Anshu. Anshu was its name, it realized, and it declared that it would like to be called by this name from that point on. After all, everyone at the school had an individual title, it seemed, so it would do to have one of its own. It still needed to consider courses to take, and Anshu was sure to take as many classes as it could.

Through asking around, Blacky, the psychology teacher (and another Pokémon, at that: an Umbreon), was able to assist Anshu in transforming into a human. At first, it used a TM so it could transform whenever it pleased. It decided that its first transformation would be while it was out to shop with Bob, since it wanted to surprise her. It stashed clothes in a nearby area, and executed its surprise, but it didn't know it was so inappropriate to end up naked in the middle of the city. It also didn't know walking would be so difficult. With a bit of coaching, it managed throughout the whole trip, but being human was a lot stranger than it first anticipated.

Yes, being human would take a lot of getting used to, and Anshu was up to the task. It attended Bob and Poo to the royal ball that was established to celebrate Daisy's birthday back in Sarasaland, and it even wore a dress it picked out. It watched people, for the most part: people talked, danced, kissed, ate... it had a splendid time just watching everyone and what they did during social gatherings. So many people! Dancing was an intriguing part of the ball, in Anshu's mind. However, it lacked the proper coordination to dance, run, or even write well, so it wouldn't attempt it for fear of messing something up.

School resumed as usual, and Anshu tried to attend every class. However, that weighed down on it, and it was soon left with more homework than it could manage. Amidst all of this, Anshu helped out with a infiltration mission. With Sonic, Espio, Lighter, and Sheik, it helped take down Protoman and Jon Talbain, but it wasn't a powerful force on its own. It remained mostly in its human form, hoping to train itself by overcoming the boundaries its human body provided it with. One thing remained most important about that night, and that was the mysterious ally it had: Sheik.

As soon as Anshu returned to the academy, it searched for Sheik's name in the user name database. However, Sheik was nowhere to be found! Just as Anshu was wondering where he could be, he presented himself through its journal, explaining that he was a junior and did, in fact, attend Smash Academy.

Anshu continued to join more and more classes, and it always managed to get things done just in time. English in particular proved to be difficult as the chilling teacher, Mr. Chase, piled on reading assignments like no tomorrow. Anshu wasn't the most adept at reading, so getting through a novel wasn't as easy as 1-2-3. It presumed it was getting sick as fall settled in, but it wasn't aware that there was a true reason for its downward spiral into illness: it was triggered by the odd seance that was to take place days later. Or, more likely, it had to do with the influx of Shadow-Pokémon. Mixed in somewhere along the lines, Missingno. invaded the school, causing Anshu to drift into a zombie-like state before becoming infected. Somehow the effects were reversed, but it couldn't remember what happened that night. Who knew.

December came quickly, and so did snow. Anshu tested the waters (rather, the cold of the powdered ice), but found it liked this season a bit better as a Solrock rather than having to feel the frigid air as a human. Along with snow came holiday season, and Anshu hoped to partake in customs. It learned that people often buy gifts for each other for Christmas, but it didn't have very much money to begin with: $11.22. That was it.

With Hoji, Anshu bought Bob, Selene, Rhys, Sheik, Hojita herself, Lighter, Louie, Olimar, Slippy, Poo, Tony, Espio and Blacky each something from the dollar store.

Of course, then came mistletoe. Anshu had its fair share of kisses, and while Tony and Gage managed to get away without one, it remembered to give them one as soon as possible.

After the holiday season, regular school schedules came. Anshu tried out normal activities, such as getting a haircut, going to the library, trying out a café... things were a part of a human's every day life. When Valentine's Day came around, Anshu felt the first emotion it had ever felt in its life: love. Struck by a cupid bot's arrow, Anshu was subjected to falling head-over-heels with the first person it came across, and that person was Ganondorf. Unfortunately, Ganondorf wasn't interested, so for the rest of the day (and only while the effects were in place), the Solrock spent its time trying to find Ganondorf, or at least learn more about him. Stalkerish-ly.

It came up so quickly that it didn't even notice, but it had been on Earth for a year. This wasn't overly significant, though. It just embraced this fact and moved on.

Prom came up, and Anshu scouted out a partner, who ended up being Sheik. Anshu was glad to be accompanied by this mysterious individual, and so the night went on. Graduation. People move up, move on, and Anshu became a sophomore.

Before the new school year began, Anshu returned to Meteor Falls after much debate with itself. Instead of hanging around there all the time, however, it ventured off to Rustboro City to examine the place. As a Solrock, it knew it might not be openly accepted without a trainer at its side, so it opted to move as a gijinka. Not much happened, and Anshu returned to Smash Academy soon after with a bland story to tell.

School continued, and Anshu was doing better at school than before. It didn't do much outside of keeping up with academics, but one day, the school went through a nightmare phase, and Anshu wasn't exempt from that. While eating a salad that it didn't like so much, it lapsed into a period of dreaming, where it returned to silence. Things happened in there that could've been part of someone's nightmare, but it wasn't bad to Anshu. It just was. And things just are, to Anshu.

After that period, Anshu got a job at Bob's new café. It worked really hard, and was dutiful on that first day. Lots went on, and Anshu met new people.

Cyrus had been a prevailing influence in Anshu's life up to that point, and finally, it broke. Anshu was becoming more like him, in that it preached his viewpoint. It believed, "Your own state of personal affairs [...] are useless." Emotions caused chaos, which was bad, and as an emotionless being, it needed to aid others in reaching this standard. Before it was too late, Bob talked it out of it, telling Anshu not to trust people so easily.

After coming across a TM, Anshu felt drawn to its power. Instead of giving it to someone else (which it hadn't considered), the Solrock tried out the TM on itself. It learned that the move was Explosion, so instead of retaining the power to transform, it learned how to explode. Quite a trade, huh? Luckily, some jewelry was readily available for the Solrock to use. Even though it spent months learning how to focus its energy into transforming without the aid of a TM, it still required the service of something so for now, it would need to use a bracelet shortly after becoming a human with its mind.

It continued to work at the café and tried to balance the demand of homework. Since the English teacher had left, Ethics became its most difficult class, where the professor assigned many assignments. This wouldn't daunt Anshu, however, and it would do its best to keep up with the class and impress its teacher, if it could. It sensed something big was going to happen, something that would "leave an impact." What could it be, though? The feeling was not a good one. The future held negative events.

On November 19th, Anshu went on its first date. Ganondorf held a blind date session where people had the chance to be signed up against their will, but that didn't mean that Anshu wouldn't sign up willingly. It did, and it was partnered with another 'it' species: Porygon-Z. Their meeting was constituted mostly of light talk. Getting to know each other. That's what Anshu learned it was supposed to do on this blind date. While the meeting was modest and didn't hold much development, Anshu still walked away from the experience assuming the two would be lovers from there on out. Porygon-Z, though with more reasoning, accepted its offer, and they decided Anshu would be the "girlfriend" and Porygon-Z would be the "boyfriend".

A conflict arose between a group of Pokémon students and some human teachers. This was beginning to blow out of proportion, and the negative energies scared Anshu back to Meteor Falls, where it gathered its thoughts and resolved to return back to the school. From there, it tried to ignore the rift between the humans and non-humans, with much success up to this point. Would there be development? Anshu didn't know. It couldn't tell. Its mind felt off, and- did someone disappear? It couldn't tell. It would have to wait for the news.

Today, Anshu is preparing for school to resume. It enjoys stability without knowing it, but the tension within the academy just seems to continue building... where would it stand? It doesn't know, and it doesn't think about it much. It would just have to allow fate to occur and do what is necessary.
