Done so early? Okay, now you're making me look bad...
Well, I arrived for my first final about an hour earlier than I actually needed to so I figured that I would take some time to relax, do some last-minute reviewing, check my email...
And here I find this.
I found this piece to be quite enjoyable. I liked the way that you worked within the film's canon to make your point - there were no divergences, which allowed for your presentation of an alternate theory to be plausible. That being said, I also liked how you left room for doubt. I'm not sure if you did this intentionally or not, but the shift from calling the protagonist "Ofelia" to "Moanna" in narration pointed to the idea that perhaps Ofelia was actually Moanna. You're the one who made me feel bad first by giving me a fic during our finals periods. Beside I needed to change ideas between my school assignments and studying for finals

Forgot to answer, as for the Ofelia-Moanna thing, I just wanted to show that maybe the Faun himself started to believe that she might be Moanna the deeper the game went. Yes, she might be, but there was absolutely no way to know when they just met and the Faun didn't know either, which was why the fifth paragraph began with "He made up yet another beautiful lie for the pretty visitor." One, he didn't know if she really was Moanna. Two, we are not sure if Moanna was really a princess born of the king and the moon in the literal sense or in poetic truth only. It was possible that Moanna was a girl who used to be the Faun's friend and they used to play games where they pretended she was a princess and the Faun gave her tests as part of the games. I tried to leave all these questions present and the answers ambiguous.
