um, yea. i've been writing fanfics for years now, but i'm still kinda out of it when it comes to certain terms... so i'll ask you becuase i <3 you.
what is a fic exchange exactly? i'm guessing that authors exchange ideas? is that it?

A Fic Exchange is when you write a set of prompts (Ideas) and you list your ideal pairing and someone else does the same thing. Then the Mods of the site will take what you've written and what everyone else has written and switch them so you have to write someone else's ideal fic/pairing/idea while someone else will get your prompt and write your ideas for you.
It's like exchanging gifts. You write for someone, and someone will write for you.
I really hope this makes sense LOL.
