That's so horrible and awful! It's shocking that this is just an accepted part of life there, and the authorities can't/don't do anything about it.
What can be done to help, though? I've heard a lot of charity funds for African countries end up being confiscated by corrupt governments, and don't end up reaching the victims.
well my guess would be do a little reasearch into the couple of charities mentioned by the article - see if they are ok and dontate some money.
or write a letter to your local MP (no time like the present).
hell write a letter to MY local Mp seeing as he was the shadow minister for foreign afairs and theres nothing suggesting he won't stay minster for foriegn afairs when the new cabinet is formed.
