Oh the drama!

Hey guys, does this look familiar?

Well, it should.C'mon, people. If you're so pathetic you need to copy-paste someone else's more-than-slightly-retarded plea for attention to get any of your own, maybe you should just give up on life. I'd certainly thank you for it ( Read more... )

That's... really special. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery? Or however the saying goes?

Either way, reported. And I still love that fic to pieces XD

I thought so too. I was gonna give the author until 6 pm tomorrow, but that's because I'm a wimp who's not good at standing up for herself. Thank you for doing so!

I'm still pissed, but I think tomorrow this will be funny. Heck, it's kinda funny now.

Also, that icon is ♥ .

I think it's the only Naruto icon I have left, but I can't bear to let it go. He will be back sooner or later!

Ok, now I'm poking through her profile... XD I wonder if the ones that are double spaced (since there are quite a few of them) are actually her own fics or she just ripped off a bunch of fics from the same author.

It's been a long, long time since I've written an ANBU, but...

"Thank you" Sakura Wisperes as she walked off the stage she let the tears fall freely from

her emerald eyes looking at the sky as it began to rain, rain away the pain she hope.

...never mind, this has to be parody.

The priest said and got off the stage to let Sakura on. She still had a tear stained

face as though it would never go away. "This is a song about everything happening right now

in this world" She paused "This song is called 'My skin' by Natalie Merchant .

oh my. that was a very diplomatic response you gave to a very, very immature and thoughtless person. i would have sent them a horrible malicious virus... or maybe sent Sasuke to angst them to death. no, no, that is a fate too horrible to imagine......

XD I love you, sweetie. I'm actually half-and-half pissed at the plagiarism and amused at the person who did the plagiarizing.

I reported them too. For ripping your fic AND ripping off the "Eviler than You" comic on Deviant Art. I bet the all of their submissions are rip-offs, too. Grrrr!

You mean it's not the first offense? And here I was all prepared to be nice and give them a chance to mend their ways. Ripping off that comic actually pisses me off more, because it is a thing of beauty. ♥ to that person, I say.

Thank you for reporting them. I was planning on giving them until tomorrow afternoon to take it down, but I'm beginning to see the light. The internet may not be an easy place to police, but fucktards should be smote whenever they are found.

I love reporting plagarists because I love seeing the excuses that they come up with. I see SO MANY people copy shit on Deviant Art and when I call them on it they have one of these excuses:

1)Nuh-uh! They're, uh, copying ME!
2)My friend came over with her art and wanted me to scan it but i didn't know that she had printed it out and so I scanned it in and uploaded it and blocked out the signature in MS Paint and had no idea that I was doing anything wrong!!!1
3) I didn't know it was _____'s art!

I usually get the first one.

XD You are a true Fandom Marine, H, and I salute you for it.

Do you have a standard response for those retards? Or do you tailor each response to the plagiarizer's personal brand of stupidity?

Dude, did you report summer101? gsyh February 3 2006, 07:49:36 UTC
There are probably many other stories posted by the plagiarist there that weren't written by him/her. Look at the published dates of the stories, how close they are to each other, on the same day some times, or published and last updated the same day and with several chapters. Granted, some people could write fast (or couldn't but does so anyways...) or upload several of their stories at once, but in this scenario?

The language style in the summary also varies.

Not even a little flattered in a hoards of drunken guys noticed you enough through their alcoholic stupor and won't stop hitting at you at the bar kind of way?

Plagiarists sucks.

XD Check out this one. They admit in the fic itself that it's not their work. It's a scripting of a great little comic on DeviantArt. Someone's begging for a slap upside the head, seriously.

Hmm, good observations! I will keep those in mind next time I see something that looks suspicious.

As amusing as it is to think of this situation as some sort of bizarre mating ritual... no, not really. And even if it was, I have better taste than that.

This band says it best, I think.

OK, I'm seriously gonna shut up now. Or maybe not.

Huh? Oh, on a show like Married With Children, I can see it!

What is the name of the band, or is "Told You So" their name and not the song name?

This is special, the transcript comic one is disclaimed, but not your story. Think maybe someone else transcripted the comic, and then the wanker in question took that?

Hmmmm...that clip could come in useful on days when the FLB is being annoying by not leaving when I'm online, whining about the many NOT!adventures of his friends. "OMG, I shouldn't have played matchmaker with my friends! Now blah blah blah....*EMOANGST*...+ xxx# of bitch/whine/moan".

That would be utterly hilarious. Now I'm actually hoping that's the case.

The band's called "The Mr. T Experience," and though that is the only song of theirs I have, I love them forever for it.

...oh WOW. That is a gem. Kind of reminds of that theoretical question about going back in time and killing your grandfather before your parent is born, except about 5000 times more retarded. I think I'm going to print it out and frame it.

I'm more amused than anything by now. And the author's been reported 3x over now, so the problem should be taken care of quickly. Sorry for making a big deal about it.

Don't apologize! This is WAY more fun than writing my paper for British Canon!

Reply

solderini February 3 2006, 09:12:11 UTC
XD Great, now that you've mentioned British Canon, I'm imagining Marlowe/Shakespeare wank wars.

Marlowe: Swine, thou hast reposted mine play, "The Two Gentlemen of Verona," under thine own penname! I shall report thee, thou scoundrel, thou fiendish knave!

Shakespeare: What sayest thou? I have done no such thing! I and my 1000 monkeys penned this in absolute secrecy; if any copying has been committed, it is on thine part!

Also, ff.net dost not allow entries submitted in the form of a play, so the original is invalid in the first place!

Marlowe: Fiend! I and generations of Professors of Literature shall slander you until thou submitest!

Shakespeare: Try me, then, and we shall whose pen is stronger!

I should probably go to bed.
