Ok so , Today was nice.  The funeral was at 11:00am, I dropped the boys off at school, me Travis at McDonalds and had breakfast then went and got my nanna.  Nanna and I got to the funeral home at 9:45 and stayed there with my aunt Lori.  Donnie was actually being good to her today.  I did a lil worse today than I did yesterday.  My aunt asked that

I cannot believe someone would say that kind of stuff to you, especially in that entry of all entries. What the hell is wrong with people?! I mean... argh. Sometimes I just want to scream. At least you took it with a grain of salt and were able to laugh. I'd want to cry.

I'm so glad you made it through this horrible weekend. Congrats to you for staying strong. I remember at my grandma's funeral when we were all bawling the priest was like "Remember that you are all God's children, unique like flowers. Some of the flowers this morning have a little dew on them, but that's ok sometimes too." :o)

At my boyfriends grandfathers funeral last year the preacher made a point of
going ON and ON about how NO MATTER WHAT, WE WILL ALL DIE, PREPARE NOW! blah
blah blah
One of my friends had a baby when we were like 16, the baby died. That preacher made a point of saying "maybe the mother was to young and God knew
that. Then went on to say "she is in a better place" n' "these things happen". Whether or not these things are true, they should NOT have been
said esspecially at a funeral.

I thought we were soppused to feel comfort at a funeral, remember
the good times, I thought he was soppused to make the pain feel less, and the
good memories feel more. Whatever the case, he just made me hate funerals even more. From then on, I will only attend the showing unless it is a direct
family member. ugh =/

You just made a great point in your journal so I had to mention it specially after the comment I rec'd.

There are certain things I think are appropriate to be said at a funeral and other things that just should be kept in and not said.

I didn't feel comfort at her funeral, I felt better knowing she was happier and not in pain. But there was a few things the preacher said that just made me wonder where he was going with it.

I am glad the funeral went ok. It is terrible that your family has suffered the loss of Lindsay, but it sounds like being close knit is really, really helping you guys. Maybe you're on to something there :)
