Room 406

Xander arrived back at his room after Journalism, copy of the Tentacle in his hand, and a frown on his face.

"You know, I was actually getting to think this could be a good place to go to school," he muttered as he put his books away. "No dead kids in the lockers, just slime-beasts, nobody's tried to eat me yet, managed to slip in just in time to drop the class that wasn't meeting and add one that actually looks fun..." He shook his head, more uncomfortable with what he'd read than he should be, given where he came from. Or maybe that's why he was so twitchy about it. Student dead in Sunnydale? Sad, but happened every day; hell, one student dead was a good day. Here, though? It'd kind of felt like a charmed life since he got here, room assignment notwithstanding. Like sure, be alert, but maybe for once he didn't have to be afraid.

He dug through his CDs for some music that might improve his mood, but nothing seemed right; finally he pulled a hand-burned disc with an inkjet-printed label from the back of the box. Dingoes Ate My Baby, live in concert, might not exactly be peppy and uplifting, but at least it reminded him of home in a good way. He put it in the CD player and -- after checking for ashes, naturally -- flopped down on his bed.

{ooc - player is afk for the evening, so the door's shut, but if Angelus needs the room, his player's welcome to mod Xander out and away (or mock/ignore him) .}
