(no subject)

Even Cliffjumper has her suspicions now. I am sure. We’ve been set up.

Sent out here, to this spot, by official suggestion, only to walk into the base camp of a quasi-organic lunatic and his pack of followers. Nobody goes to the dead villages because they want to. What were they seeking down there? And what - besides us - did the agent fear so much?

I wonder if it was a coincidence. Perhaps whoever gave Cliffjumper her tip-off was simply ignorant of their colleagues’ interest in the area… And then I consider Skywarp’s presence, and the Autobot’s suspicions that he was using Nexus technology… Somewhere down that stream lies madness.

And on the subject of the Autobot, my suspicions of him are confirmed. Ironhide has even betrayed her true opinion of Cliffjumper into the bargain. We may need a new security officer soon… but her loss can be turned to my gain, if I move well.

Assuming I choose to stay myself. I could brush this incident off and let the mysteries lie. I could decide these little aberrations are too small to bother me. The danger was so little, to us…

But why should I be forgiving now? I have done too much in the name of freeing us from such manipulations. If this is how it is to be among the peace-loving, then- no. I would rather find the Autobots - and I am sure that they are Autobots - responsible.

I will make an end of it. No-one else will.
